OneStep GPS troubleshooting

Fixes for the most common problems when connecting OneStep GPS. Find the message or problem you see.

Step 2 keeps showing “Waiting for OneStep's first data”

Why it happens
The TuroReports integration wasn't saved in OneStep, or none of your devices has reported yet. A parked device can take up to about half an hour to report.
What to do
Click Finish setup in OneStep again and make sure you save the TuroReports integration. Check that at least one device is online at track.onestepgps.com. If step 2 still hasn't ticked after an hour, contact TuroReports support.

“That OneStep sign-in expired or was already used. Nothing was linked. Please connect again.”

Why it happens
The OneStep sign-in took longer than 10 minutes, or the page was reloaded or opened twice.
What to do
Go to SettingsConnectionsOneStep, click Connect OneStep and finish the sign-in in one go.

“This OneStep sign-in was started from a different TuroReports login. Nothing was linked. Connect again from this account.”

Why it happens
You started connecting signed in to TuroReports as one person and finished as another.
What to do
The account owner must do this step from start to finish: click Connect OneStep again and approve access without switching TuroReports logins.

You declined access on OneStep, or OneStep didn't finish the sign-in

Why it happens
Access wasn't approved on OneStep's page, or OneStep couldn't complete the sign-in. Nothing was linked.
What to do
Click Connect OneStep and approve access. If OneStep keeps failing to finish, contact TuroReports support.

“Only the organization owner can change this setting”

Why it happens
You're signed in as a team member. Only the account owner can connect, sync or disconnect OneStep GPS.
What to do
The account owner must do this step. Ask them to do it.

“OneStep no longer accepts TuroReports' access. It was probably removed under Connected Apps in your OneStep account. Connect again to resume.”

Why it happens
TuroReports' access was removed from your OneStep account, so the page shows Access removed.
What to do
Click Reconnect OneStep and approve access again.

A device shows “No VIN in OneStep”

Why it happens
The device has no VIN in OneStep, or not a valid 17-character one, so TuroReports can't tell which car it's in.
What to do
Add the car's VIN to the device in OneStep, then click Sync vehicles.

“No vehicles found in your OneStep account.”

Why it happens
TuroReports can't see any devices in the OneStep account you connected.
What to do
Check that track.onestepgps.com shows your vehicles when you sign in with the same OneStep login, then click Sync vehicles. If you connected a different OneStep login, disconnect and connect again with the right one.

A device shows “No data received yet”

Why it happens
That device hasn't reported since setup, or step 2 isn't finished.
What to do
Make sure step 2 is done (see step 2 keeps waiting). If the other devices report but this one doesn't, check it's online at track.onestepgps.com, or contact OneStep support.

Trips from before setup have no tolls

Why it happens
OneStep sends GPS from the moment setup finishes. Earlier trips aren't included.
What to do
If you need earlier trips covered, contact TuroReports support.

A device note says the car is also connected through another tracker

Why it happens
The same car also reports from another tracker connected to your account. Until you choose, its OneStep data is kept but not used.
What to do
On SettingsConnections, under “Cars on more than one tracker”, choose which tracker the car should use. Only the account owner can choose.

“That device is linked to a car in another TuroReports account.”

Why it happens
The device is still linked to a car in a different TuroReports account, for example after the car changed hands.
What to do
Contact TuroReports support with the car's VIN and we'll sort it out.
